China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association is an industrial association formally registered with the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China in 1990, whose predecessor was the "National Synthetic Rubber Industry Organization" established in 1978. The Association is a national industry-wide non-governmental organization that spans regions and departments, and has the legal person qualification of a national social organization. Its members include synthetic rubber production enterprises (including joint ventures), butadiene production enterprises, related auxiliaries as well as scientific research, design, information, consulting, institutions of higher learning and other units, with more than 60 member units currently. The purpose of China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association is to unite all members, serve the industry, reflect the legitimate demands of members, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members, and promote the development and technological progress of China's synthetic rubber industry. The tasks of China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association are to conscientiously implement the guidelines and policies of the national economic construction, give full play to the role of the Association as a bridge and link between member units and the government and competent departments, as well as between member units; closely combine with the characteristics of the industry to organize the exchange of technical, economic and market information; carry out consulting services; promote advanced experience and scientific and technological achievements, and organize industrial technical cooperation and research; strengthen contacts and cooperation with related industries and social organizations; organize and participate in relevant international scientific, technological and economic exchanges; organize member units to put forward suggestions to relevant departments on China's synthetic rubber technical policies, development plans, market forecasts and implementation measures. "China Synthetic Rubber Industry" is a double-high journal co-sponsored by the Association and PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical Company.
